MEET THE FOUNDERS
Micki Pagano-Parente | Co-Founder
Micki has been generating big ideas and building brands for over 20 years. She’s worked at New York’s top ad agencies creating award-winning TV and print campaigns for Coca-Cola, P&G products (Scope, Crest, Gain, Vicks), Liberty Mutual, Barbados and more. Along the way, her advertising work has been honored with various awards, including Clio, Cannes, New York Festivals, London's International Advertising Awards, Effie and Addy.
Micki has always had a knack for storytelling, writing her first story at the age of five. Over the years, she has written screenplays, novels and produced short films. Her Madison Avenue experience taught her how to craft stories that emotionally connect a brand to its audience.
Micki is married to her best friend, business and life partner, Tony, who is a marketing expert with the great ability to see the humor in life. They created Branding Shorts to help brands of all sizes share their story through the power of short videos. They also give back by helping causes use video to make a difference.
Micki and Tony are proud parents of a beautiful little boy and a happy little rescue pup.
Tony Parente | Co-Founder
Finding new innovative ways to help businesses grow has been the focus of Tony's work over three decades. He's had the opportunity to do this with well known national brands like IBM, Sony, American Express, McDonald's, and Dunkin' Donuts. He's also had the chance to do this with small businesses across many different industries. To help him strenghten his business building and strategic marketing skills he also studied and received his MBA at The University of Chicago's Booth School of Business.
In addition to his work and academic experiences, to further grow as a creative person he studied and performed with Second City, a Chicago improvisational comedy institution (a place where most of the cast of the original Saturday Night Live came from). And when he moved back to NY he began to write and perform Stand Up comedy at clubs across NYC.
But the best thing he ever did was marry Micki, a creative award winning Madison avenue advertising guru. And together they leveraged their skills and experiences to form Branding Shorts to help companies of all sizes develop powerful creative videos to drive results. And they often look for opportunties to use the power of video to help causes such as animals in need, autism, veterans, and more. And on a personal level, Tony and Micki love spending time with their new son, Ricky, and their rescue pup Blue.
